Water Conservation
Every drop saved today ensures a sustainable tomorrow—let’s act now for water conservation.
Rainwater Harvesting Projects: Install rainwater harvesting systems in schools, community buildings, and public spaces to promote water conservation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Jal Shakti’s Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
Construction of Water Storage Tanks: Develop low-cost, community-managed water storage systems in drought-prone areas, providing a reliable water source for domestic and agricultural use.
Awareness Campaigns on Water Conservation: Run educational campaigns in rural areas to promote water-saving practices, efficient irrigation techniques, and groundwater recharge methods. JKCF can collaborate with Atal Bhujal Yojana for groundwater conservation.
Installation of Clean Water Facilities: Set up water purification plants and borewells in water-scarce villages, ensuring safe drinking water for communities. Partner with the Ministry of Jal Shakti to leverage government funding for clean water initiatives.
Water Recycling and Reuse Programs: Implement small-scale water recycling projects, encouraging households and communities to reuse greywater for gardening and other non-potable purposes, aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission goals.
